A bit about us
The Dacorum Fairtrade Group began in October 2004. During that time we havesought to increase awareness of the variety of fairtrade products available as well as campaigning towards achieving Fairtrade Town status in Dacorum.
Although we have had a considerable number of people express an interest in our work over the last two years we are always keen to get new people involved. If you would like to know a bit more about getting involved with us then please get in touch.

Comments from our supporters
"The days when people just bought the cheapest product, or the most-advertised product, are over. Now customers want to buy products of high quality, where the producers are paid a decent wage."
Tony McWalter (former MP for Hemel Hempstead)
"Giving people fair payment for their labour is an important way of spreading freedom and justice through the developing world.  Many people are enslaved by the exploitation of companies in the developed world who pay them the minimum they can get away with, and all the work associated with Fairtrade is a boost for some of the world's poorest people.   I'm proud to support Fairtrade and I very much hope that Hemel Hempstead will become a Fairtrade Town."
Dr Richard Grayson, Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Hemel Hempstead
"Helping people to feed and educate their loved ones by working with Fairtrade rather than relying on charity and handouts is a fantastic concept that sees Fairtrade at the forefront. As a politician and a passionate supporter of Fairtrade I call on as many retail companies as possible to give the consumer the choice by having Fairtrade products on their shelves."
Mike Penning
MP for Hemel Hempstead
